Events at PISA and around Penang

PISA (Penang International Sports Arena) is a venue for holdings events in Penang; be it concerts, food expo, PC Fair, political rally. It has a separate Water Sports Complex too; an Olympic standard lap pool and also a diving pool.

Last weekend,PISA played host for the quarterly PC Fair organized by PIKOM. The crowd was maddening. I braved through it to look if I could get a better deal from another ISP.

It was like a crazy auction house, too many "special offers", too many promoters, too many people jostling for the best deals. Some booths even have girls wearing skimpy anime style costume to attract customers.

It was sheer madness. I do not think I will go for another PC Fair again.

By the way, last month's International Food fair by FoodEx was another experience. It was quite pleasant. A lot of variety of food, from around the states in Malaysia and also neighboring countries like Thailand. Tables were scattered under the shades of the trees in the compound. It was a nice event.

Speaking of events, on 25th April this Saturday night from 6-11 pm, do not miss Vasakhi festival at Fort Cornwallis. It is a Sikh religious festivals. There will be ethnic Sikh food and also traditional entertainment.

  1. I hate places with too many people, but this post proofs again one thing about Malaysians.... you can not talk with a Malaysian because within 5 minutes the subject changes to .... FOOD.

    So, not surprising, one of the best things in Malaysia is... food:)

    Complain of extremely terrible BAD Services from Kris Design Studio Company http://www.krisdesignstudio.com/

    I am a as customer, is very deeply SAD and REGRET to signoff purchase the sticker wallpaper from Kris Design Studio company which was had promotion in the HomeDec’09 Pisa at Penang on Oct-09 (6/10 until 8/10). During promotion, their salesman very good is SALES TALK especially when trying to persuade the customers, SALES TALK story come again “DO NOT WORRY, WE WILL GRANTEE DELLIVER THE STICKER TO YOUR DOORSTEP WITHIN 2 WEEKS WITHOUT ANY COURIER CHARGES PROVIDED YOU PAID BY TODAY”. Sound familiar for most of the sales talk?

    Unfortunately, this incident happed to me and it’s very SAD and DISPPOINTED. If this scenario happening to you, I believe you will have same feeling with me. This is not due to money but the SERVICES. I repeat "SERVICES"

    Story start from here:

    1. I was signed and paid on the sport to purchase the sticker wallpaper with commitment; Kris Design Studio Company will send the sticker to my door steps within 2 weeks.

    2. End of 1st of week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:

    Kris Design Studio company replied: “Already told you need 2 weeks, so have to wait”.

    3. Mid of 2nd week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “We are out of stock due to high demand, have to wait until we have stock”

    4. End of 2nd week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “We already send and disconnect the phone without asked what is my invoice number, so how can they can ensure the sticker they said deliver is my sticker?”

    5. Beginning of 3rd week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “Give me your invoice number and will send by today”.

    Very strange, last week said already sent now asking my invoice number! Something starts confused already.

    6. Mid of 3rd week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “Give me your invoice number and will send by today”.

    7.End of 3rd week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “Already sent, now is pending CityLink courier services”

    8. Beginning of 4th week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: Already sent, now is pending CityLink courier services”

    9. Mid of 4th week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “It’s wrong address and CityLink return to KL”. Re-confirm again my mailing address and re-courier”.

    10. End of 4th week, call to follow up and they feedback as below:
    Kris Design Studio company replied: “Already sent”. Problem is until end of 4th weeks, I still did not receive my sticker. Asked for re-fund, Kris Design Studio company replied: It’s impossible, once goods have been sent, it’s considered sold regardless you have received or not.

    11. Called to sales person, one pass to another one. At the this minor issue has been
    involved 8 parties, namely, Mr.Yap, Mr.Lau, Mr.Lau’s brother, Mr.Braden,
    Kristine (Manager), Nicholas (Director), CityLink from KL, CityLink from Penang.
    They never return to customers even they have promised.

    12. Now in the 5th week, call to follow up, no feedback from them is because:
    Director, Nicholas refuse to answer my and disconnect my called.
    Sales Man, Mr.Lau switch off the mobile the phone for whole day.
    Mr.Yap said would like to follow up and give me an update. No response and keep silent.

    13. Summary, they will have attend you even you did not received the sticker because they said they already send. Their job was “DONE”!

  3. Conclusion as below:

    1. This is my first time, customer purchase the goods and need to follow the shipment on behalf of vendors.

    2. This is my first time; I personally need to call CityLink and asking the consignment ID. I have personally called from Penang to Kuala Lumpur to follow.

    3. This is my first time, once goods have been shipped from company; it is no responsible to ensure the stickers are delivery to a right customer. Kristine, manager of the design company, said goods are shipped and it’s considered I have received. Which is in actual fact, I paid the money and I did not received the goods.

    4. This is my first time, as a customer was scold and talks with very rude by their manager, Kristine.

    5. This is my first time, I have to keeping follow the goods delivery since week 1 until week 5.

    6.This is my first time, vendors failed to deliver and vendor is rejected to refund even I am requesting since 3rd weeks and bank account also given. Manager said that, it’s impossible to refund because goods already shipped. Problem is your shipment to Malay guy, and asking to pay on behalf of you?

    7. This is my first time, Director; Nicholas has to involve this so minor thing. However, Director also failed which committed to customer and failed to deliver. Director refuse answer my called and rejected my called.

    8. This is a my first time, customer has to call vendor but no dare to pick up the phone even I have tried to call more than 25 times, sms no reply. At the end, Mr.Lau switch off the phone.

    9.This is my first time, simple things but internally push each other. Firstly Mr.Yap, Mr.Lau, Mr.Lau’s brother, Kristine, Mr.Braden ( I not sure the extract spelling), Nicholas. At the end, also keeping round and round.

    10. Now, I just aware, the sub-ordinate have this kind of bad attitude, poor
    communications, no sincerity do the business also from the top down management. If management has this of attitude, that why sub-ordinate also has this attitude.

    11. Until today, 11-Dec-2009, nobody follow up of about sticker delivery and they just keep silent. Customer will bear the cost, that all else what can I do?

    I will feel vomit when read the services which publish in the web site. It’s nonsense.

    Conclusion: Please be aware when you are purchase any single goods from the Kris Design Studio. You will regret. Believe it or not, it’s up to you. Decision, is on your hand. Good luck!
